My name is Billy, and this story is one of real challenges, big wins, and lessons learned the hard way. From starting with $200 to scaling a multimillion-dollar brand.

2016: From Hobby To Hustle
I didn’t start with a fancy business plan. It was 2016, I had $200, and I began selling products on eBay to make a bit of extra cash. At that time, I wasn’t trying to build an empire—I just loved the thrill of making a sale. The pressure to “get a real job” was there, but I kept going, simply because I enjoyed the process.
Six months in, I’d learned a ton. I built my first website, got creative with traffic by using Google SEO, and even included business cards in eBay orders to drive people to my site. There was no marketing budget, no fancy tools, just hustle. Operating out of my mom’s living room, my weekly sales grew steadily. By the time I was turning 18, I knew this wasn’t just a hobby anymore. I made the decision to drop out of school and go all in—no plan B, just commitment.
2017 – 2019: The Leap of Faith
Dropping out of school with only a few months to go wasn’t popular, but I knew I couldn’t give 100% to both school and my business. I was willing to take the risk. I didn’t want a backup plan because I knew that if I gave myself an out, I might take it.
The stakes were high. My mom couldn’t work due to illness, and I became the only income source. That pressure lit a fire under me. I dove deep into Google Ads and Facebook Ads, teaching myself how to get the most out of every dollar. I also obsessed over conversion rate optimization (CRO) to make sure the traffic I brought in actually turned into paying customers. By 2019, the business had scaled from $100k to over $1 million in revenue. I moved into my first warehouse—scary as hell, but also exciting. That’s when things really started to take off.




2020 – 2023: The Breakthrough and the Battles
With the business growing fast, things were moving at full throttle. I expanded into a bigger warehouse, hired a team, and watched as we shipped thousands of orders around the globe. But the challenges hit hard and often—scammers, customs delays, banned payment and ad accounts, and unprofitable marketing campaigns. It felt like a game of whack-a-mole at times.
But those challenges forced me to get even better. I doubled down on refining my ads, tweaking my CRO, and making sure the business stayed lean and profitable. Every roadblock was a lesson, and I kept pushing through. In the end, we shipped over 250,000 orders to more than 80 countries. I’d built something solid, not just through wins, but by learning how to navigate the tough times.
2024 – A New Chapter Begins
In early 2024, I received an offer from a company in Singapore to acquire the business. It felt surreal—what had started as a $200 side hustle had grown into a multimillion-dollar brand. After months of discussions, the deal was finalized.
For me, this wasn’t just about closing a chapter; it was a validation of the years of hard work, persistence, and the lessons learned along the way. It proved that with grit and a willingness to take risks, you can achieve things you never thought possible. Now, I’m using the knowledge and experience I’ve gained to help others on their own business journeys as a Google Ads Freelancer.
